When I was a kid, a team from my church had the opportunity to go on a mission to Brazil. While I obviously couldn't go (the logistics of taking a five year old to the depths of the Amazon were a little unreasonable, lol), I distinctly remember wanting nothing more than to be able to help. I had a little chalk box that I'd cut a hole out of and decorated it with a Brazilian flag with the words "for the Brazil Mission Trip" collecting change from all who would give. That dream was laid to rest for a long time, only within the last few years coming back to life. Going on the mission trips with Catalyst the last three years have been some of the easiest decisions I think I've ever had to make. Brazil and her people have captured my heart in a way I don't think I could ever describe, and the call to missions has only continued to grow stronger.

From June 13–20, I have the opportunity to return to Brazil once again, traveling along the Amazon River with Justice & Mercy International to serve communities that I haven't been to before. We’ll be going village to village, building relationships, meeting practical needs, and sharing the love of Jesus.

This will be my fourth mission trip down to the Amazon, and my fifth trip to Brazil overall. It's beginning to feel like a second home to me :)
