God has given me another opportunity to go back to Brazil. This will be my third trip to the Amazon with Justice and Mercy International. My first two trips to the Amazon were truly life changing. There we visit villages along the Amazon River to work with vulnerable children and families, providing medical care, resources, and a VBS experience for the kids. I am so excited to be able to go back and continue the relationships I have been blessed with in the Amazon. God is doing some incredible things, and I am so excited to be a small part of His mission. 

I received my call into ministry several years ago, and missions has always been a big part of my life. As I prepare to graduate high school and look toward college and career, these trips have been so foundational for me. I know that God has called me to work with children, especially those who have unique physical or developmental needs.  The kids in Brazil are truly among the most remarkable I have ever met. I am so glad the Lord has enabled me to go and serve families like those in the Amazon. From my previous trips, the word hope truly continues to stand out to me. The people in Brazil live their lives with such beautiful hope despite their many, many challenges. Even being in conditions where they are left extremely vulnerable, the families and children I met in Brazil have joy like no other. The experiences I have there ministering to kids and families in that setting is one way God is honing who I am into who he has made me to be for the rest of my life. I am thankful for the chance to serve and grateful for all I will learn this year.
