The Mahu family lives in the village near Chisinau. The children are part of JMI's vulnerable child program. The mom, Carolina, works occasionally in the field. The dad, Lilian, had an accident at a construction site in June 2022. A wall fell on him while he was working which severely injured him. He had to stay in bed for three months while Carolina took care of him. He can't work, so he can't bring in an income to support his family.
