Serghei was born on June 6, 2008. His mother, Pelagheia, does not work but stays home with the children. He has three sisters:  Liubovi (35), Maria (18) and Mihaela (17). Serghei, his mom and sisters all live in an old house with no utilities and only two rooms. They have some chickens. The only money they get is $80 a month from the government. It is very little for the mother to be able to care for 3 children. Serghei is kind and helpful. He is the only man in the family. At 12 he tries to repair the fence with the things they have near the house. Serghei will go to the 6th grade in the school in September. He loves math. His favorite color is blue and favorite animal is a horse because it is big and fast. On free days he likes to play soccer with friends. He dreams of travel. The happiest day in his life was his last birthday, when his mother cooked a special cake for him, invited some of his classmates to the party, and there was their neighbor who has a camera and he took pictures. So now they have pictures of that day as a memory. The worst day in his life was the day his father died. He dreams of being a professional soccer player when he grows up. His favorite food is fried potatoes with fried eggs in it.
